The Role & Responsibilities:-

  • Work with banks and financial institutions on arranging and managing funded and non-funded facilities for business units as approved by the board;
  • Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts for all business units
  • Prepare and arrange necessary documents as required by banks and financial institutions
  • Explore and exploit opportunities for refinancing existing loan facilities with the new ones on favorable terms;
  • Arrange necessary documents for cash incentive claim and liaise with banks for release of funds on time.
  • Monitor movement of exchange rate on a daily basis and obtain forecast exchange rates from banks and financial institutions;
  • Prepare a currency risk hedging policy and obtain approval from management and the BoD. Ensure periodic review of the policy to ensure alignment with business strategies.
  • Hedge currency risk according to the approved policy;
  • Manage account signatories according to the BoD resolution;
  • Open and close bank accounts;
  • Arrange disbursement of all local and foreign payments based on documents processed by other teams and settle inter-company transactions;
  • Arrange approval from Bangladesh Bank as and when required;
  • Prepare and arrange necessary documents to open back-to-back LC and import LC;
  • Submission of documents to banks for realization of export proceeds;
  • Ensure calculation and booking of interest expense and interest income every month;
  • Maintain loan repayment schedules and update loan liabilities accordingly;
  • Ensure preparation of monthly bank reconciliation for all bank accounts;

 

Qualification:-

  • Have at least 8 years of working experience including 3 years in corporate treasury or banking;
  • Have experience of managing a team of 5-10 persons;
  • Have a first class (or equivalent) master’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting from a reputed university;
  • A professional degree in accounting or finance is an added advantage.
